1 Cor. 7:17

How we think about our work reveals our understanding of the Gospel.  Are we so busy that we think our work is at best tangential, and at worst unrelated, to the Gospel?  The Apostle Paul teaches that Christians must learn to ask new questions about our work and to see our work in a different light, as a reflection of our understanding of salvation.

Sermon Outline: The way Christians think about work reveals our understanding of the Gospel.

I.  Ask New Questions

  • Not: “What will make me the most money and give me the most status?”
  • But: “How, with my existing knowledge, gifts, and abilities, can I be of greatest service to others?”

II. See Work Differently

  • As God’s good design
  • As reflective of our understanding of salvation
