Children (Pre K – 6th)

By God’s grace we will strive to grow Cahaba Park children up in God’s Word and send them out into God’s world.

At Cahaba Park Church we are committed to equip and acquaint the next generation with the mighty acts of God in the redemption of mankind. Our children can see and know the greatness of God.  By showing and demonstrating the glory of God through the Old and New Testament stories, our children will grow in their understanding of God’s purpose for them through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Alongside the family, we desire to give children a foundational understanding of who God is, and help them grow in their knowledge of God’s Word. (Psalm 119:11)

We will teach them about their sin, need for a Savior, and how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. (John 3:16)

We will help them understand how God will use them to build His Kingdom. (1 Peter 2:4-5)

Our Children’s Education Ministry has put a structure in place to ensure our children receive a Biblical foundation before they reach their teen years. Our primary teaching time for children will take place during the Sunday school hour at 9:00 AM. Church members teach the given curriculum, which includes Bible stories and how they apply to the child’s life. The teachers will also seek to form relationships with the children.

The following classes have been developed and age appropriate curriculum has been chosen according to the maturation of our children.

3-4 year olds Sunday School

5K-2nd Grade Sunday School

3rd – 4th Grade Sunday School

5th -6th Grade Sunday School

While we desire for families to worship together, we recognize every child is different. Until your child is ready to sit through worship, we have a class that teaches them God’s Word using memory verses, Bible stories and music.

We are always seeking additional volunteers to love our little ones.  Out of love and concern for the nursery, children and youth in our care, all of our volunteers go through an application process that includes a background check.
