Prayer
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
God is building his church through his Spirit’s work in his people. What a startling privilege to think that the God of the universe delights in hearing our requests, and has ordained that prayer is the means by which we can call him to action. At Cahaba Park Church, prayer plays an integral role in what we do because we believe that God causes community transformation through the faith-centered prayers of His people. Prayer is central in our worship, in small groups and in Bible studies. Of course our prayers are never limited to those times as we can come to him at all hours. What a joy to be called a child of God!
We currently hold a prayer meeting the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30am until 12:30pm at the church office. This meeting for prayer is open to anyone who is able to attend. We plan to begin holding the same prayer meetings at multiple locations beginning in the fall.
We want to ensure that every prayer need of our congregation is prayed for by someone. If you have a prayer request you would like to make known to the leadership of Cahaba Park Church, please call the office at 205.870.1886 and ask for Tom Saxon. If you are interested in being part of the Prayer Ministry at Cahaba Park Church, please contact Jason Turner at 205.790.4170 or via email at jjturner74@gmail.com.
