<p>Mark 2:1-12</p>
<p><!--StartFragment--><span style="font-family: Verdana, Helvetica, Arial;">If you saw Jesus casting out demons, healing the sick by a word or a touch, and cleansing a leper, what would you do?  You’d find out where he was and you’d go to him.  That’s the scene when the curtain closes on chapter one and opens again for chapter two.  Crowds play an important part in Mark’s gospel.  They are curious, interested, even passionate followers of Jesus, but not because of who he is, but because of what he does: they want to see this miracle worker, and what he can do for them.  And if we’re not careful, we can find ourselves closer to the crowds than we’d like: following him for what he can do for us. Mark addresses it as act 2 scene 1 begins…</span></p>

We will meet at the Church Office (4256 Cahaba Heights Ct) at 7:45am. After the work is done, we will be coming back to the church office for pizza and [...]]]></description>
			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The college and youth ministries will be working together with Christian Service Mission to remove debris in Center Point the morning of Saturday, February 18th. We will meet at the Church Office (4256 Cahaba Heights Ct) at 7:45am. After the work is done, we will be coming back to the church office for pizza and a time of debriefing and discussing why and how to serve our community. All are welcome to come.
