Church Planting
We believe that church planting is the most effective way to reach people for Christ. To that end, Cahaba Park Church serves as a member of the Alabama Church Planting Network. Also, Cahaba Park is working to develop a Church-Planting Center.
By God’s grace, we hope to serve Christ’s kingdom as a center for equipping, training, and resourcing church planters in the local, national, and global community.
We are in the process of developing curriculum and content resources for individuals seeking to learn more about the process of church planting. During the planting of Cahaba Park Church, our staff kept track of notable events and ways of doing things that were beneficial to starting our ministry. These notes are contained in our Church Planting Manual, available in our online Resource Library.
Cahaba Park partnered with our mother church, Covenant Presbyterian, in 2008 to plant Cross Creek Church in Hoover. We are also currently partnering with Briarwood and Altadena Valley Presbyterian Churches to plant a PCA church in Trussville. James Dickson, Church Planting Pastor at Cahaba Park, is working to plant Christ Church PCA Trussville in 2012.
It is our hope to further the gospel by planting churches in Birmingham, throughout Alabama, our nation, and the world.
